Offlineyou are using some sort of mod? Standard S2 doesn't have neither "bronze", nor ore nor coal
I think kram have the massive mod installed and there is some new mines.
but back to the answere.
kram you need to use the shovel to dig.
when you dig you are prospecting allso.
now for the sad news.
I am making a new mod where I'm using the Massive Mod pack in it and I have just looked over the functions on the dig/prospect function and it's still only a WIP (Work In Progress) as fare I can see there is only added coal into the function.
The Massice Mod pack is closed and Builder2.0 (he who wrote it) have closed it and he has told that he vill never come back to finish it, so I'm actualy taking up he's work and is continuing the progress.
I can not say when I'll release a beta.
I'm still looking over the script from Massive Mod Pack to find the stuff Builder2.0 have made and is trying so finish it, so I will be able to implement my new stuff

Why dont you put the finished stuff to Str.² Ext mod? It would fit niceley in there.
First of all, it it's Bizzl that is doing the S2EXT and it's in german
Secondly I'm realy not good at german and the S2EXT is a german project as far as I know and the forum and wiki on S2EXT is allso in german :S

An english homepage wouldn't be much of a problem, we just need the need for it
And my board has english enabled, it's just not default, but pretty easy to set (i hope)

I don'T understand your first problem, since S2Ext is an open project, but there where some approaches to translate s2ext, though none was successful yet.

3. Yep it's easy to set, but that does not change the german postes in there
(It's not to offend the german people, it's just me who mever got the hang on the german language ) But you can always start english topics, no problem.
And babelfish works, too (at least sometimes)
