That is the 1.0.0.0 release that I having the bug in...
sleeping overnight doesn't work, there are no parrots at all.
any other suggestions? cheats?

ooh, I think that it is because I destroyed the parrot spawn. can I add it back somehow? using cheat maybe?
any other suggestions?

There is NO multiplayer mod, because you need the source code to do a multiplayer. DC wont give the code to any of us so if there will be a MP it will be in the original game - if dc ever makes this youll have to wait at least about 8 month(when DC's back from the bundeswehr (german army) in 6month he will complete cs2dmax and then make some updates for stranded II and a new project (worms clone???))

I believe Bizzl's Stranded Ext mod for the German version of Stranded II is being translated over to the English version. Besides that, the only "significant" mods appear to be WIP, namely the discontinued Massive Mod, the newly-reborn Massive Mod 2.0, and the "A New World" mod by Satis that uses Massive Mod as a base.

I believe there are many other mods for the English version, however much to my surprise I have only been able to find a download link or two and not any actual information pertaining to what those mods do. If I am correct there is actually a wiki list of mods for Stranded as well.

So, my total knowledge on the situation is rather flimsy. But to summarize:

Yes there are mods for the English version. Yes it is extremely confusing. And, by my own opinion, the only worthwile mods appear to be Bizzl's Stranded Ext mod (when it is translated) and Satis "A New World" mod. Until then, there is Massive Mod, and the other mods which seem to just have a title and a download link over at the wiki.

I found the one near the rocks, but the one "surrounded by fern" I can't find no matter what, I've practically dug up everything and everywhere that has fern, but still no sign of the treasure...can someone tell me where it is exactly?

(I know the treasures aren't necessary to continue the game, I just want to find them and see what they are...)

I was just wondering what the point of fences were because the only thing you would want to block is raptors and lions but they would tear you to shreds before you could build it. I heard someone say that it stops locusts?

And what are the rocks with the green thingies on them. I saw them on random island and hit them a bit with my hands but didn't get anything unusual.

Finally, burning crops... Is there any side affect to this because when I harvest my grain I just light a plant on fire and eventually the whole thing explodes. Does it reduce the amount of grain?

But there also are lion roks respawning the lions. You could for example kill all the Lions around, build the fence and wait till the lions respawn

I don't think it works against locusts, but I never tried it.

rocks with green things: Those are Kristall rocks, you need a pickaxe to gather them. (And no, they are useless)

burning crops: No, it doesn't reduce the amount of grain, but you've got to be careful, you could fire up the whole place if there isn't a free space around the field.

Monkey respawning: There is no object spawning Monkeys, you've got to use the info Spawncontroll.

You can find the Version number either in the main menu in the lower right corner, or by pressing ~ or ^ (key right of "1" on the alphanumeric part of the keyboard), type in welcome or version and press return (you only have to do this if you already had S2 load some maps )
