There is another post here, with cmd mentioning a noobie area, but I can't find it, so instead of closing this, please help!

P.S. I know that you can go forwards and backwards with the w and s keys, but what gives you lift? Hitting the ocean just turns the airplane into a submarine, with a decent potential to drown you to death >:) you need to go with a certain speed which you will acquire automatically after going forward for several seconds.
once you're in the air you have to hold forward to hold your height, when you release the W key you'll head down again slowly.
(or you can get off the plane mid-air and you and the plane will drop like a rock 
good thing there is no fall-damage in the game 
)
steering for left and right is A and D.
