Off Topic Valve Hammer editor and .bsp map Valve Hammer editor and .bsp map
4 replies Hi US, i got .bsp map file. I want to open it and edit with Valve Hammer editor. .bsp file from source game (not goldsrc) - Zombie Panic Source (I want to remake one map and play it in ZP:S).. But I got one problem, i haven`t .map or .vtf version of this map, and Hammer can`t open .bsp file. How to edit that? I THINK there are decompilers out there. I'm not sure tho. Best is of course to have the .map file. I think that Hammer Editor is for goldsrc. You must buy Source SDK. It comes free with almost every Valve game you buy. Source SDK incuides Hammer Editor, who can open source maps. Hammer Editor 3.5 and below is for GoldSrc.
The Hammer Editor he needs is in the SourceSDK (he has the SourceSDK obviously, else he would not be able to play ZPS)

here you go.
BSP files are compiled maps, Valve's Hammer Editor can only open uncompiled/decompiled ".vmf" or ".map" files, no BSP files!
