I am very sure it's safe, it doesn't contain any sort of malware (viruses, spyware, etc.)

Lol... You are asking this on the developer's website, you o know that, right? But yes, this game is 100% safe, the only thing that could go wrong is if your parents saw that the game has weed/joints in it, but that won't phaze most parents anyway. So yes, SII Is awesome and safe

Yes. The source code is freely available for everyone to have a look at, the game is highly transparent in architecture and design. As a developer, I say it's another fine piece of free gaming.
