Well, i never had any virus on my tablet or my phone and using these devices since the begining..

I usually install apps NOT from Goolgle Play and still never had any virus So i can say it's needless in my opinion.

As user medeiros said, the best anti-virus is your own natural anti-virus, which is your brain.
You would only need an anti-virus if your natural one is defective.

How on earth do even get viruses on your phone? You should only download necessary applications and shitty games on your phone, nothing else.

@user lennon: Not similar but of course it uses the Linux Kernel. Also, your phrase is not entirely correct. Of course, every OS include Linux has it's malwares and they can get those malwares, so here's nothing a doubt about it but Linux doesn't have so many malwares like Windows has.

Myself I never ran any AV app for my Android device and I didn't get any viruses too. Usually, you can get them only if you are not careful while you download android apps which some of them could contain a malicious thing to infect your Android smartphone, in other words as user J192 & user medeiros said, your best anti-virus is your brain. Not forget some of Android AV apps are junk and they consume a lot of performance and battery power.

@Edit: Damm I've been ninja'd by two guys above.

If you install other shit which does not directly come from the kernel, there is a small chance the application holds a virus.

It's actually better to be safe than sorry, so just get an anti-virus tool/application.

As an experient android user, I don't think you need an antivirus or something like that.
It is almost impossible that you get viruses from apps of the default app store, Play store. Antivirus, speed boosters, etc, are all bloatware that tend to slow down your device.

Be your own antivirus. Don't get fooled by these "pirate" app stores like Mobogenie, etc. (Aptoide is an exception, it is all up to you) and only download apps from places other than play store if you really trust the source.

BTW, I recommend these apps:
• Nova Launcher (very customizable and fast launcher)
• CM Browser (ultra fast and lightweight)
• Drastic and PPSSPP (NDS and PSP emulators)
• FX File Manager (Great file manager! Offers a wide variety of tools. I use it as an alternative to ES File Explorer as I've been facing some problems)
• Poweramp (great music player, features various tools to apprimorate your audio experience)
• Grumpy Weather (great widget, I simply love it. best widget ever, check it yourself)
• Shazam
• Viral (great youtube alternative, offers background playing, popup playback, etc)
• TouchPal (best keyboard I have ever found, it is light, simple, free and customizable)
• Flash Player (explained.)

And if your device is rooted (some of them you can't find on google play):
• Xposed (Great framework for customizing your system)
• GravityBox (Utility that uses Xposed framework to help you customizing your system)
• Viper4Android (Great utility to improve your sound! It might sound lame and that but it really makes difference)
• GLTools (Graphics Optimizer. Increase/Descrease quality for games. This one is like a 3D Analyzer for Android)
• Freedom (dark stuff)
• Lucky Patcher (even dark stuff)

I dunno what do you mean with "useful" for me an useful app is something like 920 text editor, Astro file manager, Dropbox, Adobe reader, µtorrent, Sound hound...
However here are some random suggestion,
If you want to chat with strangers try Meowchat or Kik, Hangouts is nice but if you and your friends are not familiar with google stuff you'd better not use
If you want a good browser use Dolphin Browser with Dolphin Jet-pack plug in
If you want a good video player use MX Player
If you want to block unwanted callers use Call filter
if you want to troll people with a fake location use Fake GPS
A nice game: Duet

UC browser: shitty for googling but great for watching online videos and downloading.
AdAway (root): simple but very affective ad blocker.

@user Pehlivan: I disagree. It is nearly impossible to get viruses on your phone unless you're gullible.
Also, your anti-virus will do nothing but slow down your phone if you're not going to use it anyway.

@user lennon: I already know that phones can get viruses, what's your point?

Mobile phones can get viruses. Well, malware, but I see that as a virus. Although technically a virus is something that replicates itself throughout the device.

Still, if you like doing weird shit on your phone. Get an anti-virus on there to stop malware.

@user J192: I recommend anti-viruses for ppl who are dumb. Like some kids who are downloading apk's(cheats etc.). Btw: Kasperky Internet Security is a nice anti-virus. It doesn't need much RAM, like CM Security.

Have you tried Gunship Battle? Its a pretty cool game. You can play it using giroscope and its really funny.

An alternative (with full 3D graphics and Modern Warfare) to Clash of Clans is Empires and Allies. Same gamestyle with Helos and Tanks and units and predators and the huge A10 Air support. Recommend.

For games, i recommended School Idol Festival. It's a rythm-based game, maybe you can try it. However, it doesn't like rooted phones.

Just hope these 2 things are not happend in your phone if you try it:
1. Getting out of space while downloading the game(it's ~550MB)
2. Most of your touch doesn't registered in the game(yea it happend on some Samsung devices, i recommended to try the tutorial first to test it)
