Hi,

I only discovered this game yesterday on a random search.
Downloaded it, and I am hooked

I am VERY impressed by the quality of this game, which could give lessons to a number of big games companies...

As far as the game goes, I managed to do the first 2 islands of the Adventure mode in 1 session, including building both ship types in the first island... (admittedly, I did an unscheduled all-nighter).
Then a first quick run of the third island, which I will restart given the hindsight I obtained from it.

Stranded 2 is quite amazing, I find that it is better by far than most big games companies. Sadly, it doesn't have much replay value. What shines in this game is gameplay- not centering solely on graphics nor just rehashing a really boring story.

well, The main Half-Life story (the original) did not have much replay value either, but look where all the player-made mods got it... still live and kicking, mods for it are still being developed.

This game has the same potential for mods.
Once I finish the main Adventure, I will probably try to create some.

As usual, I recommend:
Better try to tell a good story with your own map or campaign first. Get familiar with the scripting language. Using it for minigames can be a lot of fun.

Actually, I have a suggestion for that:

The second time you play the Adventure, do NOT try to finish each island quickly, but develop a whole base first. For instance create a fortress in Island 3.
You can use 4 huts as corners, and lines of storage or fences as walls.
The challenge is doing that in one of the few flat areas.
